Harriet Beecher StoweHarriet Beecher Stowe was a working mother of 7 children, squeezing in time to write to help support her family. On Mother's Day, we honor mothers who work inside and outside the home with special savings at the Stowe Center.  Moms enjoy free admission for a Stowe Center tour.  The whole family will be inspired by the life of the woman whose words changed the world. Last tour steps off at 4:30 PM.

Before or after your tour, shop our Museum Store with books and gifts for everyone -- including last minute gifts for Mom at 10% off.

Please note: while the 1871 Stowe House is undergoing preservation, the 1873 Visitor Center and 1884 Katharine Seymour Day House will host the tour. Stowe Center staff will offer visitors a behind-the-scenes look inside the Stowe House as construction allows.
